Founded October 28, 1920, the Lotus Club has been a staple in the community for over a century. From humble beginnings, we've grown to be the cultural leader in Northeast Louisiana.
The charter members chose a line from Alfred, Lord Tennyson's poem "The Lotus Eaters" as their club's slogan. In 1921, the club's entrance was remodeled. Its design was inspired by New York City's Lotos Club, which is still running as a private members' club today.
During the war, the Lotus Club opened its doors to all officers of the Selman Field Navigational Base. In 1951, the club concluded house-sponsored gambling, establishing itself as a fine dining club. Today, the Lotus Club remains a fine dining club with a rich history and vibrant community.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
